World Telecommunications Day – Achieving Success with Targeted Digital Marketing Techniques

To mark ‘World Telecommunications Day’, we are celebrating one of our success stories, Evolving Systems Inc, and how we achieved success using targeted digital marketing techniques.

Evolving Systems is a global leader in providing real-time digital engagement solutions and services such as real-time analytics, customer acquisition, customer value management and loyalty largely for the mobile and telecoms industry.

Predictable Marketing started working with Evolving Systems in 2020 and has had a successful two-year journey.

Evolving Systems Inc Senior Vice-President of Sales Richard Lewis explained how the partnership began.

He said: “We mainly deal with mobile network operators, working in more than 100 countries around the world. It became very clear to us that covid was going to have a massive impact on business as historically we had salespeople in various regions around the world. Obviously, with Covid, they wouldn’t be able to travel and we felt we needed to boost our presence in the world through digital marketing techniques.”

Enter Predictable Marketing.

Both teams spoke at length and worked out the best ways to grow interest in Evolving Systems Inc’s solutions, increase website enquiries and the number of new leads which would in turn become prospects and new business.

As a digital marketing business, we looked at the best approaches for Evolving Systems Inc including increasing their web presence and from there the best techniques for moving enquiries forward with enquiry forms, downloads and white papers.

It was also about our digital marketing team working alongside the sales teams – from creating good quality lead generation and communicating with the sales teams and not just passing the leads over with no context. It’s about the end-to-end process.

Richard Lewis added: “The results really exceeded our hopes and expectations. The number of enquiries began to increase exponentially – from creating more interest, the information was captured and we are able to follow it up.  The team at Predictable Marketing did a great deal of qualification so our sales team received relevant enquiries and were able to pass them to the sales team to start a conversation.

“We also saw them as an extension to the sales team. Every single campaign we ran was agreed with the individual regional sales head which was so important, as every region has its own culture and own way of doing business.”

Evolving Systems Inc has seen pipeline increase in both value and number terms – proving to be a very successful programme over the past two years.

Richard Lewis concluded: “Overall it was a hugely successful programme. For me Predictable Marketing delivered exactly what they promised – and that marketing was predictable so we could always know what was coming through at the very top of the funnel and plan accordingly. Predictable Marketing have fulfilled their promise which is so important these days.”
